Bengaluru police have interrogated CoinDCX co-founders Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal regarding an alleged crypto fraud scheme. The case stems from a Thane FIR where scammers impersonated CoinDCX officials, luring victims with promises of 10-12% returns through a fake platform called CoinDCX.pro.

One insurance consultant reported losing ₹71.6 lakh (August 2025-March 2026) alongside two other victims. The fraudsters used authentic-looking marketing materials before disappearing with invested funds. CoinDCX maintains its founders' innocence, calling the FIR "false" and part of a broader impersonation campaign against their brand.
